Speaking of the ending, there are a few ways it can flesh itself out and a New Game+ allows for a slightly different story the proceeding times around. I admit I barely cared about the characters initially, but the ending made me want to play through it a second time. There are some easy puzzles, but the focus on the game is the story telling and character development - even though it's hard to tell what is what at times.
